The 97 godan verbs that end in む. A godan verb moves its final kana along that kana's vowel row: ま before ない (飲まない), み before ます (飲みます), め for the potential and ば forms (飲める, 飲めば), も for the volitional (飲もう). Its て and た forms are 飲んで and 飲んだ. In the て and た forms it takes んで, which it shares with ぶ and ぬ.
