Godan verb (む)
挟むはさむ
hasamu挟む (はさむ, hasamu) — to hold between — is a godan verb ending in む: 挟んで (te-form), 挟んだ (past), 挟まない (negative), 挟みます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to grip.
