好む (このむ, konomu) — to like — is a godan verb ending in む: 好んで (te-form), 好んだ (past), 好まない (negative), 好みます (polite).

It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to prefer.

Only the last kana changes: む becomes ま, み, め or も.
