阻む (はばむ, habamu) — to keep someone from doing — is a godan verb ending in む: 阻んで (te-form), 阻んだ (past), 阻まない (negative), 阻みます (polite).

It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to stop; to prevent.

Only the last kana changes: む becomes ま, み, め or も.
