回す (まわす, mawasu) — to turn — is a godan verb ending in す: 回して (te-form), 回した (past), 回さない (negative), 回します (polite).

It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to rotate; to spin.

Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.

Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
