見えるみえる
mieru見える (みえる, mieru) — to be seen — is an ichidan verb: 見えて (te-form), 見えた (past), 見えない (negative), 見えます (polite).
It also means to be visible; to be in sight.

Drop the る, then add the ending.
Nothing else moves: every ending attaches straight to the stem 見え. That is what makes ichidan the easy class.

No sound changes and no vowel rows. The catch is telling ichidan from godan: plenty of godan verbs end in る too.
