Ichidan verb
負けるまける
makeru負ける (まける, makeru) — to lose — is an ichidan verb: 負けて (te-form), 負けた (past), 負けない (negative), 負けます (polite).
It also means to be defeated; to be beaten.
How 負ける conjugates · ichidan verb
Drop the る, then add the ending.
Nothing else moves: every ending attaches straight to the stem 負け. That is what makes ichidan the easy class.
