miawaseru見合わせる (みあわせる, miawaseru) — to exchange glances — is an ichidan verb: 見合わせて (te-form), 見合わせた (past), 見合わせない (negative), 見合わせます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to look at each other.
