Godan verb (す)
剥がすはがす
hagasu剥がす (はがす, hagasu) — to tear off — is a godan verb ending in す: はがして (te-form), はがした (past), はがさない (negative), はがします (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It is usually written in kana: はがす rather than 剥がす. It also means to peel off; to rip off.

Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.
Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
