励ますはげます
hagemasu励ます (はげます, hagemasu) — to encourage — is a godan verb ending in す: 励まして (te-form), 励ました (past), 励まさない (negative), 励まします (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to cheer on; to cheer up.

Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.
Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
