Godan verb (す)
逃がすにがす
nigasu逃がす (にがす, nigasu) — to set free — is a godan verb ending in す: 逃がして (te-form), 逃がした (past), 逃がさない (negative), 逃がします (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to let go; to release.

Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.
