争うあらそう
arasou争う (あらそう, arasou) — to compete — is a godan verb ending in う: 争って (te-form), 争った (past), 争わない (negative), 争います (polite).
It also means to contest; to contend.

Only the last kana changes: う becomes わ, い, え or お.
