揶揄うからかう
karakau揶揄う (からかう, karakau) — to tease — is a godan verb ending in う: からかって (te-form), からかった (past), からかわない (negative), からかいます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It is usually written in kana: からかう rather than 揶揄う. It also means to make fun of; to poke fun at.
