Godan verb (う)

這うはう

hau

to crawl · N2

這う (はう, hau) — to crawl — is a godan verb ending in う: 這って (te-form), 這った (past), 這わない (negative), 這います (polite).

It also means to creep; to go on all fours.

How 這う conjugates · godan う-verb

Only the last kana changes: う becomes わ, い, え or お.

Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
