Ichidan verb
存じるぞんじる
zonjiru存じる (ぞんじる, zonjiru) — to know — is an ichidan verb: 存じて (te-form), 存じた (past), 存じない (negative), 存じます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to be aware; to be acquainted.
How 存じる conjugates · ichidan verb
Drop the る, then add the ending.
Nothing else moves: every ending attaches straight to the stem 存じ. That is what makes ichidan the easy class.

No sound changes and no vowel rows. The catch is telling ichidan from godan: plenty of godan verbs end in る too.
