逸れる (それる, soreru) — to turn away — is an ichidan verb: それて (te-form), それた (past), それない (negative), それます (polite).

It is usually written in kana: それる rather than 逸れる. It also means to bear off; to veer away.

Drop the る, then add the ending.

Nothing else moves: every ending attaches straight to the stem それ. That is what makes ichidan the easy class.

No sound changes and no vowel rows. The catch is telling ichidan from godan: plenty of godan verbs end in る too.
