Ichidan verb
強めるつよめる
tsuyomeru強める (つよめる, tsuyomeru) — to strengthen — is an ichidan verb: 強めて (te-form), 強めた (past), 強めない (negative), 強めます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to emphasize; to emphasise.

Drop the る, then add the ending.
Nothing else moves: every ending attaches straight to the stem 強め. That is what makes ichidan the easy class.

No sound changes and no vowel rows. The catch is telling ichidan from godan: plenty of godan verbs end in る too.
