Godan verb (す)
通すとおす
toosu通す (とおす, toosu) — to let pass — is a godan verb ending in す: 通して (te-form), 通した (past), 通さない (negative), 通します (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to allow through; to let through.
How 通す conjugates · godan す-verb
Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.
Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.

For a す-verb even the て and た forms follow the pattern; every other godan ending changes its sound there.
