早いはやい
hayai早い (はやい, hayai) — fast — is an い-adjective: 早かった (past), 早くない (negative), 早くて (te-form), 早いです (polite).
It also means quick; rapid.

Every form is built on the stem 早. The one that isn't: the polite present, which is the whole word plus です.

Every い-adjective works this way. The one exception is いい, which conjugates from its older form よい.
