古いふるい
furui古い (ふるい, furui) — old — is an い-adjective: 古かった (past), 古くない (negative), 古くて (te-form), 古いです (polite).
It also means aged; ancient.

Drop the final い, then add the ending.
Every form is built on the stem 古. The one that isn't: the polite present, which is the whole word plus です.

Every い-adjective works this way. The one exception is いい, which conjugates from its older form よい.
