Godan verb (う)
手伝うてつだう
tetsudau手伝う (てつだう, tetsudau) — to help — is a godan verb ending in う: 手伝って (te-form), 手伝った (past), 手伝わない (negative), 手伝います (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to assist; to aid.
