Godan verb (う)
行うおこなう
okonau行う (おこなう, okonau) — to perform — is a godan verb ending in う: 行って (te-form), 行った (past), 行わない (negative), 行います (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to do; to conduct oneself.
How 行う conjugates · godan う-verb
Only the last kana changes: う becomes わ, い, え or お.
Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
