Ichidan verb
添えるそえる
soeru添える (そえる, soeru) — to garnish — is an ichidan verb: 添えて (te-form), 添えた (past), 添えない (negative), 添えます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to accompany.

No sound changes and no vowel rows. The catch is telling ichidan from godan: plenty of godan verbs end in る too.
