Ichidan verb
育てるそだてる
sodateru育てる (そだてる, sodateru) — to raise — is an ichidan verb: 育てて (te-form), 育てた (past), 育てない (negative), 育てます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to rear; to bring up.

No sound changes and no vowel rows. The catch is telling ichidan from godan: plenty of godan verbs end in る too.
