Godan verb (う)
慕うしたう
shitau慕う (したう, shitau) — to yearn for — is a godan verb ending in う: 慕って (te-form), 慕った (past), 慕わない (negative), 慕います (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to long for; to pine for.

The て and た forms are the only two that don't follow this pattern. Every う-, つ- and る-verb has the same って there.
