押す (おす, osu) — to push — is a godan verb ending in す: 押して (te-form), 押した (past), 押さない (negative), 押します (polite).

It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to thrust; to shove.

Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.
