Godan verb (す)
交わすかわす
kawasu交わす (かわす, kawasu) — to exchange — is a godan verb ending in す: 交わして (te-form), 交わした (past), 交わさない (negative), 交わします (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object.

Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.
