Godan verb (す)
貶すけなす
kenasu貶す (けなす, kenasu) — to speak ill of — is a godan verb ending in す: けなして (te-form), けなした (past), けなさない (negative), けなします (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It is usually written in kana: けなす rather than 貶す. It also means to disparage.

Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.
Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
