Godan verb (す)
言い出すいいだす
iidasu言い出す (いいだす, iidasu) — to begin to say — is a godan verb ending in す: 言い出して (te-form), 言い出した (past), 言い出さない (negative), 言い出します (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to start talking; to broach.
