Godan verb (す)
干すほす
hosu干す (ほす, hosu) — to air — is a godan verb ending in す: 干して (te-form), 干した (past), 干さない (negative), 干します (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to dry; to desiccate.

Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.
Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
