Ichidan verb
詫びるわびる
wabiru詫びる (わびる, wabiru) — to apologize — is an ichidan verb: 詫びて (te-form), 詫びた (past), 詫びない (negative), 詫びます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to apologise; to make an apology.

No sound changes and no vowel rows. The catch is telling ichidan from godan: plenty of godan verbs end in る too.
