Godan verb (る)

連なるつらなる

tsuranaru

to extend · N1

連なる (つらなる, tsuranaru) — to extend — is a godan verb ending in る: 連なって (te-form), 連なった (past), 連ならない (negative), 連なります (polite).

It also means to stretch out; to stand in a row.

How 連なる conjugates · godan る-verb

Only the last kana changes: る becomes ら, り, れ or ろ.

Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
