Godan verb (す)
照らすてらす
terasu照らす (てらす, terasu) — to shine on — is a godan verb ending in す: 照らして (te-form), 照らした (past), 照らさない (negative), 照らします (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to illuminate.
