Godan verb (く)
思いつくおもいつく
omoitsuku思いつく (おもいつく, omoitsuku) — to think of — is a godan verb ending in く: 思いついて (te-form), 思いついた (past), 思いつかない (negative), 思いつきます (polite).
It also means to hit upon; to come into one's mind.
How 思いつく conjugates · godan く-verb
Only the last kana changes: く becomes か, き, け or こ.
Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
