異なる (ことなる, kotonaru) — to differ — is a godan verb ending in る: 異なって (te-form), 異なった (past), 異ならない (negative), 異なります (polite).

It also means to be different; to disagree.

How 異なる conjugates · godan る-verb

Only the last kana changes: る becomes ら, り, れ or ろ.
