Godan verb (る)
炙るあぶる
aburu炙る (あぶる, aburu) — to warm — is a godan verb ending in る: あぶって (te-form), あぶった (past), あぶらない (negative), あぶります (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It is usually written in kana: あぶる rather than 炙る. It also means to dry.

Only the last kana changes: る becomes ら, り, れ or ろ.
