Godan verb (る)
裏切るうらぎる
uragiru裏切る (うらぎる, uragiru) — to betray — is a godan verb ending in る: 裏切って (te-form), 裏切った (past), 裏切らない (negative), 裏切ります (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to turn traitor; to double-cross.
