Godan verb (う)
繕うつくろう
tsukurou繕う (つくろう, tsukurou) — to mend — is a godan verb ending in う: 繕って (te-form), 繕った (past), 繕わない (negative), 繕います (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to patch up; to repair.

The て and た forms are the only two that don't follow this pattern. Every う-, つ- and る-verb has the same って there.
