Godan verb (く)
叩くたたく
tataku叩く (たたく, tataku) — to strike — is a godan verb ending in く: 叩いて (te-form), 叩いた (past), 叩かない (negative), 叩きます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to hit; to beat.
