耕す (たがやす, tagayasu) — to till — is a godan verb ending in す: 耕して (te-form), 耕した (past), 耕さない (negative), 耕します (polite).

It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to plow; to plough.

Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.
