Godan verb (く)

長引くながびく

nagabiku

to be prolonged · N2

長引く (ながびく, nagabiku) — to be prolonged — is a godan verb ending in く: 長引いて (te-form), 長引いた (past), 長引かない (negative), 長引きます (polite).

It also means to drag on; to take a long time.

How 長引く conjugates · godan く-verb

Only the last kana changes: く becomes か, き, け or こ.

Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
