言付ける (ことづける, kotozukeru) — to have someone send — is an ichidan verb: 言付けて (te-form), 言付けた (past), 言付けない (negative), 言付けます (polite).

It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to send; to leave with someone.

Drop the る, then add the ending.

Nothing else moves: every ending attaches straight to the stem 言付け. That is what makes ichidan the easy class.
