隠す (かくす, kakusu) — to hide — is a godan verb ending in す: 隠して (te-form), 隠した (past), 隠さない (negative), 隠します (polite).

It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to conceal.

Only the last kana changes: す becomes さ, し, せ or そ.

Which one depends on the ending. The five are one line of the hiragana chart — same consonant, vowels あ・い・う・え・お — and everything before that kana never changes.
