Godan verb (る)
書き取るかきとる
kakitoru書き取る (かきとる, kakitoru) — to write down — is a godan verb ending in る: 書き取って (te-form), 書き取った (past), 書き取らない (negative), 書き取ります (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to take down dictation; to take notes.

Only the last kana changes: る becomes ら, り, れ or ろ.

The て and た forms are the only two that don't follow this pattern. Every う-, つ- and る-verb has the same って there.
