Godan verb (ぐ)
嗅ぐかぐ
kagu嗅ぐ (かぐ, kagu) — to sniff — is a godan verb ending in ぐ: 嗅いで (te-form), 嗅いだ (past), 嗅がない (negative), 嗅ぎます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to smell.

Only the last kana changes: ぐ becomes が, ぎ, げ or ご.
