含める (ふくめる, fukumeru) — to include — is an ichidan verb: 含めて (te-form), 含めた (past), 含めない (negative), 含めます (polite).

It is transitive: it takes a direct object.

How 含める conjugates · ichidan verb

Drop the る, then add the ending.

Nothing else moves: every ending attaches straight to the stem 含め. That is what makes ichidan the easy class.
