親しいしたしい
shitashii親しい (したしい, shitashii) — close — is an い-adjective: 親しかった (past), 親しくない (negative), 親しくて (te-form), 親しいです (polite).
It also means familiar; friendly.
How 親しい conjugates · い-adjective
Drop the final い, then add the ending.
Every form is built on the stem 親し. The one that isn't: the polite present, which is the whole word plus です.

Every い-adjective works this way. The one exception is いい, which conjugates from its older form よい.
