Ichidan verb
信じるしんじる
shinjiru信じる (しんじる, shinjiru) — to believe — is an ichidan verb: 信じて (te-form), 信じた (past), 信じない (negative), 信じます (polite).
It is transitive: it takes a direct object. It also means to believe in; to place trust in.

Drop the る, then add the ending.
Nothing else moves: every ending attaches straight to the stem 信じ. That is what makes ichidan the easy class.

No sound changes and no vowel rows. The catch is telling ichidan from godan: plenty of godan verbs end in る too.
