しぶとい
shibutoiしぶとい (shibutoi) — tenacious — is an い-adjective: しぶとかった (past), しぶとくない (negative), しぶとくて (te-form), しぶといです (polite).
It also means tough; enduring.

Every form is built on the stem しぶと. The one that isn't: the polite present, which is the whole word plus です.

Every い-adjective works this way. The one exception is いい, which conjugates from its older form よい.
