軽いかるい
karui軽い (かるい, karui) — light — is an い-adjective: 軽かった (past), 軽くない (negative), 軽くて (te-form), 軽いです (polite).
It also means feeling light.

Drop the final い, then add the ending.
Every form is built on the stem 軽. The one that isn't: the polite present, which is the whole word plus です.

Every い-adjective works this way. The one exception is いい, which conjugates from its older form よい.
